In the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, Riga constituency elected Baidyanath Prasad from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the winning candidate with 117,393 votes (54.11% vote share). Amit Kumar of Indian National Congress (INC) secured the second position with 84,268 votes (38.84% vote share).
